Conclusion
I've finally finished my Information Architecture website: SecurusUK, and I'm very happy with it. I think I have come up with a solid design and from reading through "Don't make me thing" by Steve Krug I was able to implement some of his ideas in keeping the website simple, and making sure the user knows where they are on the website, and how to get back and forth. By keeping my website small and too the point I've had to trim some of the content, but I think by doing this I have made this website a very strong piece of design and architecturally sound.

New look website
After going with my previous design, and building the website around this design I started to grow unhappy with it. Mainly I found the colours didn't work, and the design did not suite the purpose. So after doing some research and looking at other websites, (namely the NHS website) I decided on a new colour scheme.
I decided to keep the colours simple, and went for a blue and white combo. The idea was to make the website look clean and fresh. This is my initial design that I created in photoshop and is the design I intend to build my website around.

Information Arch (continued)
After gaining more insight into the site that the client (my dad) wants me to create I have gone onto the development stage of the website in Dream weaver. Up to now I’ve only sorted the navigation and layout in the browsers.
All I need to do now is add the content and add further CSS to make the website have more appealing and easier to use.
This is a screenshot of the website thus far, previewed in Internet Explorer
